Project Manager, Drug development

We are looking for a Project Manager who will have a central role in our drug development projects for orphan oncology drugs and join our journey in building and growing the company to improve the lives of patients with rare oncology related diseases. 

With direct report to the Project Director, you will be responsible for the hands-on management of our main projects and coordination of cross-functional activities. You will be a key player in a fast-growing cross-functional team and work closely with regulatory affairs, pharmaceutical development and manufacturing, non-clinical and clinical development and other functions and colleagues across the organization. The job entails being part of the development of the project office function as well as opportunities for personal development. 

Your main tasks  

  • Together with the project teams, develop and execute project plans, including timelines, quality and budgets, according to the agreed scope

  • Preparing, driving and documenting project meetings with internal and external participants  

  • Facilitating clear project information sharing and collaborative decision making across functions  

  • Ensuring project plans are updated, and project progress, decisions, risk assessments and key document are made available to key stakeholders  

  • Contributing to the development of Ascelia Pharma’s project management processes  

  • Supporting various functional areas from time to time and be part of building Ascelia Pharma for the future.  

Your qualifications 

To master the position as Project Manager, you need a track record in project management from a pharmaceutical company or other relevant field or industry, and you hold, at least, a master’s degree from a relevant field of study, such as pharmacology, chemistry or biology.  

We also believe that you have: 

  • Experience from phase I and II projects, and it is a bonus if you also have experience from phase III 

  • Knowledge of working in GxP environment 

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in project team roles, including leading positions in project sub-teams 

  • Strong task planning and coordination skills, with a flair for working in a highly systematized manner in uncertain conditions 

  • A demonstrated ability to organize complex tasks and projects, preferably with documented training in project management methodologies and with knowledge of using Microsoft Project  

  • Experience from working in a start-up biotech/life science company, which would be a plus

Other information 

Some travelling may be required.  

The head office is in Malmö (The point, Hyllie) and there is an opportunity to work partly from home.  

You must have authorization to work in Sweden or the EU.
