The Job
As Legal Counsel at Zealand Pharma A/S you will handle a wide variety of legal matters and will provide sound legal advice to the entire organization. As Legal Counsel you will balance legal risks against business interests, and you must be able to interact with employees at all levels and within all functions from Research to Development.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the preparation, review, negotiation, drafting and approval of various types of agreements, including confidentiality agreements, service agreement, R&D agreements, supply agreements, consultancy agreements etc.
- General legal counselling regarding development of new products.
- Compliance, interpretation of and instruction in relevant legislation, within life-science, GDPR, HCP engagements etc. and follow-up on new legislation.
As Legal Counsel you will report to Head of Legal Hans-Christian Lund and will be part of a dedicated and highly experienced team.

- 2 or more years of relevant legal experience
- Experience with working independently and effectively with cross-functional groups
- Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills using a business-oriented and value-adding approach
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Danish
- Business acumen
- Excellent people skills
- High level of integrity and flexibility
- Experience within healthcare and/or pharmaceutical or related industry is an advantage
