HR Manager

Are you our new colleague securing the HR foundations for NMD Pharma so we can help people with debilitating neuromuscular diseases? As NMD Pharma continues on its growth trajectory following its successful recent fundraising, we are seeking a motivated and highly skilled HR Manager to contribute towards our mission of bringing life-changing therapies to neuromuscular disease patients. This position will play a crucial role in developing our Human Resources function and in shaping our organisational culture and driving strategic HR initiatives to support our continued growth and success.

Based at NMD Pharma’s HQ in Aarhus, Denmark, the right individual will thrive in the dynamic setting of a growth stage biotech, operating diligently with structure, ideally with biotech, pharmaceutical, or scaleup experience. And of great importance, you will share our common purpose to help patients with high unmet medical needs.

Reporting to the SVP of People and Business Services, you will be the face of NMD Pharma’s Human Resources team globally with close collaboration with our ESG Lead and Executive Management Team.

Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:

  • Lead recruitment efforts, collaborating with managers to identify needs and attract top talent.Implement innovative sourcing strategies to build a skilled candidate pool in biotech industry.
  • Conduct interviews and manage selection processes to ensure hiring aligns with company culture.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment by implementing initiatives that promote employee satisfaction, wellbeing, and engagement.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR matters.
  • Drive morale and retention through recognition programs and professional development.

HR Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures compliant with laws, NMDs ESG strategy and best practices.
  • Stay updated on legal changes, ensuring policies mitigate risks and remain compliant.

Performance Management and Talent Development:

  • Oversee performance evaluations and career development planning.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify and develop high-potential talent.
  • Provide support to enhance feedback delivery and foster continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
  • +9 years of progressive HR experience, preferably with 5 years in a managerial or leadership role preferably with biotech, scaleup or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Deep understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws, with a proven track record of successfully implementing HR programs and initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation and influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organisational development.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically, solve complex problems, and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism, with a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
